The 24th is Thanksgiving, and we are unpacking our elastic waistbands in anticipation of the enormous selection of mouth watering meals Prague is offering this Thursday. Although Czechs do not celebrate the holiday, you will have plenty of options for tucking into turkey and tantalizing treats.
We have prepared a selection of choice restaurants serving roast turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, and anything else you might be missing away from home this Fall.
Bohemian Bagel in Holešovice (Prague 7) is observing Turkey Day with an all you can eat Thanksgiving meal. When you finish your plate, you can ask for more:) It’s also one of a few establishments that offer vegetarian alternatives.
Jáma, a popular sport bar for expats, will be celebrating the holiday with tasty turkey, honey-glazed ham, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie. So sit down, get comfortable, eat, drink, watch American football and give thanks. More details at their Facebook page.
The expat mecca, Globe, will offer a full course meal with pumpkin soup, turkey with apple-sage stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, a choice of dessert, coffee and glass of wine.
Hard Rock Cafe! What could possible be more American than that? Groups can order an entire turkey for their table. A complete Thanksgiving menu will be served all day starting at 1 PM. More at their Facebook.
