BURGER PLACE CAFÉ PALANDA

Bety

We visited Palanda after investigating a bit about where to find a great burger place in Prague, and Palanda was the one suggested by our friends. So if you are tired of pork knuckles, dumplings or sauerkraut, this is a great place for you. The restaurant is located in the New Town at Zlatnická 11. We ordered the Blue cheese burger and Royal cheeseburger. Both came out as very tasty, juicy, perfectly cooked burgers in a soft and tender bun. The fries seemed a little too limp for my liking but special herbal seasoning made up for it. They have local Staropramen and Belgium Stella on tap. Especially the non-filtered Staropramen is very good, despite being a bit looked down on by Czechs who prefer beers like Pilsner. Service was very fast and efficient, with the burgers coming to our table approx. 10 – 15 minutes after sitting down, which impressed us a lot taking into account how busy the restaurant was that evening. The only downside to the place is the smell of the cooking there. Not the best thing when you walk out of a restaurant and find that my clothes and hair smell like fried food. On the other hand the positive thing is that the whole restaurant is non-smoking, which unfortunately, is still not a rule in the Czech Republic. It only has a small room in the first floor where smoking is allowed.

Final note from us: Great place for burger lovers enjoyed by plenty of locals!!!
