We come to CAFÉ LOUVRE for it‘s atmosphere. Louvre’s elegant French themed interior always takes us back to old Prague. The Café used to be visited by those who belonged to the “cream of Czech Society” or who had contacts in the arts or in literature or who worked in the world of science. We like the idea that we can eat and drink our coffee in the same place that the famous Czech writers Karel Čapek, Franz Kafka or even world famous physicist Albert Einstein used to sit.
CAFÉ LOUVRE makes a great stop for coffee or tea and dessert. It is also a great place to start a day in Prague. The historical interior, the very helpful, professional and friendly staff and the delicious & well-presented food, always make our visit of LOUVRE very special.
For cakes definitely try the apple strudel, black forest cake and LOUVRE cheesecake. They are truly irresistible.
But do not be mistaken by the name, CAFÉ LOUVRE is not only coffee place, you can have a stylish lunch there, or play a game of billiards. Billiards is what this café was known for back at the beginning of the century.
You will not have the cheapest coffee in Prague there, but the atmosphere and architecture is an added value in our Prague LOUVRE.
The final note from us: A gem not to miss in Prague!!!
